Pinterest Aspect Ratio Guide
Pinterest is a visual discovery engine, and using the correct aspect ratio for your Pins is essential to make your content stand out. Different Pin formats have different optimal sizes.
Standard Pins (2:3)
The most recommended aspect ratio for standard Pins is 2:3. This vertical format performs best in the Pinterest feed.
A common resolution for a 2:3 Pin is 1000x1500 pixels. Pins taller than this may get cut off in user feeds.
Other Supported Ratios
- Square Pins (1:1): A resolution of 1000x1000 pixels works well. These are less common but can be effective, especially when repurposing content from Instagram.
- Video Pins: Video can be uploaded in various formats, including square (1:1), vertical (2:3, 4:5, or 9:16), and standard video (16:9). For maximum impact, vertical video (especially 2:3 or 9:16) is recommended.
